The Ukrainian crisis and challenges facing NATO were discussed by Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski with NATO Secretary General designate Jens Stoltenberg in Warsaw on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Head of BBN Stanisław Koziej.

NATO's development prospects and challenges facing the alliance, with view to the changed international situation resulting from the Ukrainian crisis and Russia's aggressive moves, were discussed by President Komorowski and Jens Stoltenberg, PAP was told by Jaromir Sokolowski, the presidential minister for international affairs.

"Bronislaw Komorowski and Jens Stoltenberg stressed the need to strengthen NATO's eastern flank," Sokolowski added.

President Komorowski congratulated Stoltenberg on his election as new NATO Secretary General and expressed hope that he "would manage to cope with the difficult challenges facing the alliance".
