Representatives of institutions responsible and involved in organisation of flights carrying state authorities and VIPs met in NSB’s office on Tuesday 11th May.

On Saturday 8th May Head of the National Security Bureau, Minister Stanislaw Koziej saw the Secretary of the Security Council, Mr. Nikolay Patrushev in Kremlin.

On Friday 7th May Bronisław Komorowski the Speaker of the Sejm acting president has appointed Lieutenant-General Mieczyslaw Cieniuch the new Chief of Staff.

Funeral ceremonies – Requiem Mass and the funeral was held on Wednesday 21st April 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Military Cemetery at Powazki. (Funeral Parlour by the Military Cemetery, 14 Powazkowska St., Warsaw)

On Tuesday 13th April the Parliament Speaker Bronislaw Komorowski, who is now acting president, has appointed retired Brigadier-General professor Stanislaw Koziej as the new head of National Security Bureau.

National Security Bureau set up book of condolences in memory of the victims of Saturday plane crash and especially in memory of the Head of the National Security Bureau Minister Aleksander Szczyglo. The book is now available in front of the NSB building (10 Karowa Street, Warsaw).

President Lech Kaczynski, the First Lady Mrs Maria Kaczynska and Polish delegation died on Saturday when a plane carrying senior Polish officials on their way to a memorial service in Russia marking 70th anniversary of the Katyn Massacre crashed 1,5 kilometre from the airport in Smolensk, shortly before 9 a.m.

On Thursday 18 March, the Head of the National Security Bureau met with Air War College (AWC) students.
