President: It is too often that Europe tends to forget that it owes its security and prosperity to the US commitment and presence. In Poland we recall this very well.

President Andrzej Duda: Poland does not accept such a vision and it will never do! That is why since 2014 we have consistently stood with Ukraine.

President: The last eight years have been a period of rebuilding the Polish Army: increasing Poland's security.

We are writing as NATO Allies bordering Russia and Belarus. The cooperation of the two states has deteriorated the security of our region and that of the entire Euro–Atlantic area. The Belarussian territory and its resources have been used by Russia in its illegal and brutal war of aggression against Ukraine.

We reaffirm our commitment to the Presidential Council established in 2020 and appreciate its contribution to strengthening our bilateral relations.

President Andrzej Duda has said that Poland and Lithuania are doing their best to ensure that the upcoming Nato summit in Vilnius brings a clear perspective of Ukraine's membership in the alliance.

The debate entitled "Prospects after the NATO Summit in Vilnius" was organized in connection with the preparations undertaken by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda for the North Atlantic Alliance Summit, scheduled to take place on 11-12 July 2023 in Vilnius. Its purpose was also to discuss long-term directions for the strengthening of Polish security policy, domestically and internationally, following the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

On February 23, just a few hours before the Russian aggression one year ago, I was in a beautiful and proud Kyiv to support Ukraine. I had a long conversation with my friend, President Volodymyr Zelensky. The situation at that time was, as you know, extremely dramatic. We already knew that in a few hours the Russians would attack, a full–scale war would begin.
