Poland is not alone in pressing for joint defence as a basic Alliance function, President Bronislaw Komorowski said at the Sunday-opened NATO summit in Chicago. He added that an anti-missile shield was among the priorities in this respect.

Poland's President Bronisław Komorowski will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on the sidelines of a NATO summit in Chicago on May 20 and 21.

Thursday, 17 May 2012. Deputy Head of the NSB Zdzisław Lachowski met with Professor Dorodajtun Kuntjoro-Jakti, former minister-coordinator for economic affairs of Indonesia. It was the first visit paid by the representative of Indonesia to the Bureau.

Tuesday, 15 May 2012. The Deputy Head of the NSB Zdzisław Lachowski met with the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Swedish embassy Mikael Benthe.

Monday, 14 May 2012. Deputy Head of the NSB Zdzisław Lachowski met with the director of Western Europe Division of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ilan Ben-Dov.

King Harald and Queen Sonja paid a three-day visit to Poland between May 9 and 11, 2012. They spent two days in Warsaw and one in Krakow.

Tuesday, 8 May 2012. President Bronisław Komorowski participated in the plenary conference recapitulating the National Security Strategic Review. The conference was opened by the Head of the National Security Bureau Stanisław Koziej who is heading the commission responsible for preparing and completing the Review.

None of us is in favour of boycotting Euro 2012 football matches in Ukraine, said President Bronisław Komorowski after Sunday's talks held with the Czech and Slovak presidents in Sztrbske Pleso in Slovak High Tatras.
