Monday, 11 June 2012. Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau, Dr. Zdzislaw Lachowski met with the Director of Policy and Political-Military Affairs Office of Israel’s Ministry of Defense, Amos Gilad.

Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau, Dr. Zdzisław Lachowski met with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major General Devi Chankotadze, who is visiting Poland invited by the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Mieczysław Cieniuch.

Monday, 11 June 2012. Italian President Giorgio Napolitano started a two-day official visit to Poland at the invitation of his Polish counterpart, Bronisław Komorowski. The Italian President is accompanied by the First Lady.

On 7-8 June 2012 the high-level representatives on security issues attended a third conference in Sankt Petersburg, Russia. The event was organized and hosted by the Security Council of the Russian Federation (NSC) headed by Nikolai Patrushev.

Monday, 4 June 2012. The National Security Bureau organized another meeting under the series of expert meetings dedicated to an amendment of the European Security Strategy. The meeting was headed by the Deputy Head of the NSB Zdzisław Lachowski.

During the first day of his visit, the Head of the NSB met with the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych, with whom he discussed preparations for EURO 2012. President V. Yanukovych informed that he will visit Poland on 8 June this year and the Ukrainian side is preparing for a visit of the Polish president.

President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski awarded the United States Chief of Staff of the Air Forces – general Norton A. Schwartz. The order was awarded by the Head of the National Security Bureau Stanisław Koziej.

Tuesday, 29 May 2012. Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau Zdzisław Lachowski, PhD met with Mr. Philippe Lefort, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, who, invited by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently visiting Poland.

On Monday 28 May 2012 President Bronisław Komorowski and Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak initiated two-day celebration of the Veterans Day. This day, dedicated to soldiers and officers, who served abroad, is celebrated in Poland for the first time.

President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski met in the Presidential Palace with American political scientist Francis Fukuyama. During the meeting, the parties discussed, among others, new directions of the US foreign policy, role of this state in the context of Europe and world’s security as well as new challenges faced by NATO.
