On 24 May 2013, in the presence of President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, took place the inauguration of the White Book on National Security of the Republic Of Poland, which was published for the first time.

20 May 2013. Head of BBN Stanisław Koziej spoke with the security adviser to the president of Romania Iulian Fota about european security, NATO issues and mutual cooperation. S. Koziej and I. Fota met before in December 2011 in Warsaw and in June 2012 in Bucharest.

On 6 May 2013, General Mieczysław Gocuł assumed the duties of the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. The new Chief of the General Staff was appointed by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland on 23 April 2013.

On 18 April 2013, Head of BBN Stanisław Koziej met with Frank A. Rose, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Space and Defense Policy from the U.S. Department of Defense, responsible for missile defense, military space policy, and conventional arms control. F. Rose is also responsible for the cooperation with U.S. allies in the missile defense.

On 12 March 2013, President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski signed the amendment to the law on technical modernization and financing of the armed forces, that ensures the financing of the Polish missile defense system.

On 11 March 2013, President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski signed the decision to extend the Polish Military Contingent in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan from 14 April 2013 through 31 October 2013.

On 22 march 2013, Ukrainian Defense Minister Pavlo Lebedev visited the National Security Bureau.

On 18 march 2013, Head of BBN Minister Stanisław Koziej visited France.

On 22 February 2013, the members of the Polish parliament accepted the new law, that provides funding of the missile defense and air defense program - priority modernisation project of the Polish Armed Forces in the upcoming decade. Realisation of this project will provide Polish Army with the key capabilities to defend the territory of Poland. In this way Poland will become a shareholder in NATO's missile defense system.

On the 15 February 2013, Head of BBN Minister Stanisław Koziej met with ambassador of the United States to Poland, Stephen D. Mull.
