Visit to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility
President Karol Nawrocki paid a visit to the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Texas, which specializes in the production of fifth–generation F–35 multi–role fighter jets, the aircraft which will be deployed in the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask as early as mid–year.
Back in 2020, Poland signed a $4.6 billion contract to acquire 32 F–35A fighter jets for the Polish Air Force, and training for Polish pilots and technicians is currently underway in the U.S.
In addition, during his two–day working visit to the United States, President Karol Nawrocki will deliver a speech at the CPAC conservative conference and meet with the Polish–American community.
As Marcin Przydacz, Head of the International Policy Bureau, noted during a press briefing before departing for the U.S., the American state the President is visiting has a thriving economy—one of the largest in the U.S.—and could be an important economic partner for Poland.
“As we all know, LNG tankers set sail from Texas, reaching Poland amongst other destinations and ensuring our country’s energy security. Discussions on energy prices and supplies will take place during the event in Dallas, also in the context of other items on the agenda,” he emphasized.
