White House. Talks between the Presidents of Poland and the USA
President Karol Nawrocki was a guest at the White House, at the invitation of Donald Trump. The leaders of Poland and the United States discussed security in terms of military, energy and economic cooperation. The latter was also discussed in relation to the Three Seas Initiative. President Nawrocki also extended an invitation to Donald Trump to visit Poland.
During the talks, the American leader reaffirmed allied security guarantees and emphasised Poland's role as a trusted and reliable ally. 'I regard this as a great success of the meeting, given the discussions on the redeployment of US troops in Europe,' said Karol Nawrocki.
– 'We talked with the President and the secretaries about the expansion of the US troop presence in Poland, which I am particularly pleased about. There were specific discussions concerning this project,' Karol Nawrocki noted after the meeting.
He explained that, in the coming days, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, the Head of the National Security Bureau, and Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defence, would produce concrete solutions in this regard. According to the President, these solutions will involve 'a permanent presence, security guarantees, and new projects for the Polish security infrastructure in the short term'.
– 'I have received an invitation from President Donald Trump to attend next year's G20 summit in Miami, Florida,' announced Karol Nawrocki, viewing this as confirmation of the Polish President's very significant role in the United States.
Asked about the issue of peace negotiations aimed at ending Russian aggression against Ukraine, the President reaffirmed his position, which he expressed during his talks with Donald Trump and European leaders. – I have consistently said the same thing, that I do not trust Vladimir Putin. Poland has had nothing but negative experiences with the Russian Federation. The subsequent sanctions packages and support for Ukraine are not only the position of Poland, but of Europe as a whole,” he said.
As Donald Trump welcomed Karol Nawrocki, aircraft flew over the White House. The F–16s and F–35s were flying in tribute to Major Maciej Krakowian, who died last Thursday when an F–16 fighter jet crashed during exercises ahead of the Air Show in Radom.

After the introduction of the official delegations and the signing of the guest book, the Presidents of Poland and the USA went to the Oval Office for talks.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Karol Nawrocki thanked the American leader for the invitation. He pointed out that his visit comes less than a month after he was sworn into office as head of state.
– „This speaks volumes about the importance and strength of Polish–American relations,” he said, also expressing his belief that the alliance between our countries is as strong as ever.
The Polish President thanked the American leader for his support during the election campaign. He also expressed his gratitude to Poles living in the United States who voted for him.
During the talks, President Donald Trump confirmed that US forces would continue to be stationed in Poland. Karol Nawrocki emphasised that 'this is the first time that Poles are happy to have foreign soldiers on our territory'.
„American soldiers are part of our society — we have almost 10,000 of them. This sends a clear message to the whole world, including the Russian Federation, that we are united,” he pointed out.
President Karol Nawrocki noted that Poland currently allocates 4.7 per cent of its GDP to defence. 'We will achieve 5 per cent of GDP earmarked for this purpose, but that with American soldiers on Polish soil,' he added.

Donald Trump pointed out that Poland was one of two countries that allocated more to defence than it was required.
Subsequently, the talks between the delegations in the format of a working luncheon were held, chaired by Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump.
The President of the Republic of Poland concluded his visit to Washington with a wreath–laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
