Polish and Croatian Presidents discussed security and defence
Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanovic have held discussions on security, the situation in Ukraine and bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence industries.
Andrzej Duda said that the talks covered key security challenges facing both nations in the coming months.
The Polish President expressed gratitude for Croatia's participation in the NATO contingent stationed in Poland. He also assured Croatia of Poland's readiness to provide support in defending EU borders.
The leaders also addressed the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stressing the importance of achieving a just and lasting peace.
The upcoming NATO summit in The Hague was another key topic along with the modernisation of both countries' armed forces. In this context, Andrzej Duda expressed hope that South Korean K2 tanks could soon be manufactured in Poland and that Croatia would show interest in Poland’s Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle. (PAP)
