NATO chief to meet with Polish president, PM, FM

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who will pay a visit to Poland on Thursday and Friday, will meet with President Andrzej Duda, PM Mateusz Morawiecki and Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz, NATO press services reported on Thursday.

Jens Stoltenberg's visit to Poland marks the 20th anniversary of the country becoming a NATO member.

Stoltenberg will meet with President Duda on Thursday afternoon and the two will make a joint statement at 6 pm.

On Friday, the NATO chief will talk to the Polish foreign minister. Later on, the two officials will take part in a conference organised by the Polish Institute of International Affairs and German Marshall Fund of the United States.

The secretary general will also attend a leadership retreat of the European People’s Party (EPP) where he will deliver a speech, NATO announced on its website.
