President, MoD visit Polish soldiers in Romania

Polish President Andrzej Duda, Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak and Head of BBN Pawel Soloch arrived in Romania on Wednesday to pay a pre-Christmas visit to the Polish Military Contingent in that country.

The Polish 230-strong contingent belongs to the multinational NATO forces stationed there as part of the Alliance's enhanced presence in the Black Sea region.

The visit will start with a tour of an Art Museum in Craiova, where Poland's interwar president the late Ignacy Mościcki and army commander Edward Rydz-Śmigły were interned during WWII. Later the officials will visit the Polish Military Contingent, will take part in Christmas meetings with soldiers and award distinctions.
