Two Polish police officers promoted to general by President

President Andrzej Duda has promoted two Polish police officers to the rank of general, the president’s National Security Bureau (BBN) announced on Tuesday.

Pawel Dobrodziej, provincial chief of police in the eastern city of Lublin, and Krzysztof Justynski, provincial police chief in the southern city of Katowice, were both promoted to general effective July 17, according to the BBN.

The promotions ceremony was held in Legionowo near Warsaw on July 23 to mark Police Day in Poland, the BBN said.
