Security adviser to president of Romania visit to BBN

20 May 2013. Head of BBN Stanisław Koziej spoke with the security adviser to the president of Romania Iulian Fota about european security, NATO issues and mutual cooperation. S. Koziej and I. Fota met before in December 2011 in Warsaw and in June 2012 in Bucharest.

Mr. S. Koziej pointed the necessity of agreement on strategic signpost which will help the European Union to adapt to the modern security environment. Minister Koziej also stressed the opinion that after the end of the mission in Afghanistan in 2014, NATO should focus on its main task - the collective defense of its members. This should involve contingency plans, joint military exercises and defense capacity – including missile defense. 

During the meeting S. Koziej presented the White Book On National Security Of The Republic Of Poland, which is the result of recently completed National Security Strategic Review.

During the visit to Poland Mr. Fota will visit also the Chancellery of the President of Poland, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, and Polish Institute of International Affairs.
