The NSSR results presented to diplomats

On 17 December 2012, diplomats from 29 countries of the European Union, NATO and Poland’s neighboring states, invited by the Head of BBN, Minister Stanisław Koziej, discussed the conclusions and recommendations of the National Security Strategic Review (NSSR). The aim of the presentation of the NSSR results was to deepen mutual understanding and trust – the elements essential for strengthening the regional and global security.

Minister Stanisław Koziej presented the assessment and forecast of development of the security conditions on the global, regional and national levels.

During the discussion guests expressed appreciation for the results of the NSSR. They were especially interested in such subjects as relations between the European Global Strategy and the European Security Strategy; the Polish approach to expeditionary engagements and aspects of social radicalization. Discussants also spoke about the process of the preparing and implementing the strategic security documents in their own states.

This debate was the fifth in the cycle of meetings the purpose of which is to promote results of the completed National Security Strategic Review of Poland. In previous meetings participated security and defense experts, journalists, members of Parliament, and NGOs.

The Head of the BBN suggested that regular meetings with the diplomats accredited in Poland in the format of so-called Diplomatic Security Forum should be further organized.
