President meets secretary of Turkey's National Security Council

President Bronisław Komorowski during a Tuesday meeting with Secretary General of Turkey's National Security Council Muammer Turker supported moves designed to consolidate bilateral cooperation in security matters.

Present at the meeting were head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) Stanisław Koziej and presidential minister Jaromir Sokołowski, the Presidential Chancellery reported.

"Both Poland and Turkey are NATO's frontier countries and have similar problems and views on a number of matters," the Polish president was quoted as saying.

President Komorowski and Muammer Turker discussed also the conflict in Syria and its regional and global dimension.

On behalf of Turkish President Abdullah Gul Muammer Turker invited President Komorowski to visit Turkey to take part in 2014 ceremonies marking the 600th anniversary of establishing Polish-Turkish diplomatic relations.

The Polish president accepted the invitation with satisfaction. Muammer Turker has been invited to Poland by Stanisław Koziej.
