Conference meeting between the NSB and the Security Council of the Russian Federation

13 October 2011. The NSB held conferences with the Security Council of the Russian Federation at the deputy secretary level.

The delegations chaired by Zdzisław Lachowski and Yevgeniy Lukyanov focused on the need to intensify the exchange between Poland and Russia in the field of non-military security, including nuclear energy sector, terrorism, organised crime and environment al protection.

Referring to the next year’s 20th anniversary of signing Polish-Russian Friendly and Good Neighbourly Cooperation Treaty, both parties expressed their interest in rising the rank on mutual contacts.

While participating in the working lunch Minister Koziej emphasised the significance of the conference of high representatives responsible for security issues held recently in Yekaterinburg and strengthening international cooperation in the field of cyber security.

On 14 October 2011, the NSB and SCRF consultations will also include bilateral, expert round table „Poland in Russian security policy. Russia in Polish security policy” held.
