Representatives of the US Congress visit the NSB

Tuesday, 17 May 2011. Delegation of the United States House of Representatives visited the National Security Bureau.

The main goal of the visit was to exchange views and opinions concerning the plans of creating European Phased Adaptive Approach.

During the meeting with Minister Koziej, members of the delegation confirmed the lasting inter-party support the US Congress provides for executing all elements of the system, including SM3 interceptors that are to be detached in Poland.

Moreover, the parties discussed current threats to the Euro-Atlantic area and challenges for NATO.
 

The United States Congress was represented by:

  • Michael Turner (R-OH) – member of the Armed Forces Committee and Chairman of the Strategic Forces Subcommittee,
  • Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) – member of the Armed Forces Committee and Strategic Forces Subcommittee,
  • Doug Lamborn (R-CO) – member of the Armed Forces Committee.
