The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda has formally requested that NATO leaders discuss raising defense spending to 3 percent of GDP at the upcoming summit in The Hague.

President: We have always warned against the true intentions of the Kremlin. What is more, we are among few nations experience know the spirit of Russian imperialism, and we have been warning the world, for years, where it could lead.

Poland ranks first (in terms of GDP) among all countries that have pledged to help Ukraine. Polish assistance was the first to reach the Ukrainian front in significant quantities. We are the ones who have donated the most heavy weapons. Poland is also one of the countries that have taken in the most refugees in absolute terms.
