Strategic Defence Review report in several weeks - security head
The National Security Bureau (BBN) should be ready with its report on Poland's Strategic Defence Review in several weeks, the bureau's head, Pawel Soloch, announced Thursday.
Last week, the BBN announced that it had sent its report on the defence review to President Andrzej Duda. At the moment, the bureau is working on a new report, necessary due to the need to correct the Defence Ministry's military spending forecasts.
Soloch told PAP that the situation forced the bureau to rescrutinise the report, which could take several weeks.
Commenting on the defence minister's recent invitation to the president for a debate on military command structures and the defence review, Soloch said that at the moment the president saw no need to consult the matter with the defence minister.
