White Book on National Security presented to diplomats

On 11 June 2013, Head of BBN Stanisław Koziej presented the White Book on National Security of the Republic of Poland to the ambassadors and representatives of embassies of NATO and the European Union members states and the neighbouring countries. The meeting - a part of the Strategic Security Forum - was a continuation of the debate on the conclusions and recommendations of the National Security Strategic Review (NSSR), which was completed in December 2012.

Head of BBN acknowledged that the White Book is dedicated both for domestic and abroad recipients. In Poland it should inspire the state institutions to implement the results of the NSSR and deepen the knowledge and social awareness about the security. The foreign countries should use the White Book to form a better understanding of Polish approach to the security issues.

Minister Stanisław Koziej informed the participants of the forum about the NSSR recommendations and about the process of its implementation. Head of BBN underlined the external pillars of Poland’s security: NATO, the European Union, strategic the partnerships and “good neighbourliness”.     

The Strategic Security Forum is a series of meetings organized by the National Security Bureau of Poland. The events concerns the most important security issues.
