Minister of Defense of Ukraine visit to BBN

On 22 march 2013, Ukrainian Defense Minister Pavlo Lebedev visited the National Security Bureau.

During the meeting with the Head of BBN Minister Stanisław Koziej, Pavlo Lebedev presented the Concept of Reform and Development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 2017, when the full professionalization will be carried out. The main aim of the reform is to create a small mobile forces, well trained and able to quick response.

Minister S. Koziej presented the plans of the Technical Modernization of Polish Armed Forces, based on the acquisition of missile defense capabilities, increasing mobility and the development of information systems, such as drones, precise ammunition and command systems.

Both ministers stressed the very good Polish and Ukrainian cooperation in the area of ​​security. They agreed, that the priority of the military cooperation is establishment of the Polish-Ukrainian-Lithuanian brigade.

The Ministers expressed their willingness and determination to continue the joint projects and the development of bilateral cooperation, which is the bond of the regional stability in Central and Eastern Europe.
