U.S. ambassador visit to BBN

On the 10 December, the new ambassador of the United States to Poland, Stephen D. Mull, visited the National Security Bureau and met with the Head of BBN, Minister Stanisław Koziej. The main topic of the discussion was cooperation in the area of ​​security - bilateral relations and within NATO.

The completed National Security Strategic Review of Poland confirmed that the United States is - next to NATO and the EU - one of major external pillars of Poland's security. Defence cooperation includes the strategic dialogue, joint participation in the ISAF mission, deployment in Poland of elements of the U.S. missile defense system (EPAA) and Polish and U.S. Air Forces cooperation, which started in November.

Polish-American partnership also includes other security areas such as cyber security and energy security (exploitation of shale gas).

The Head of BBN wished the new ambassador all success in his mission to Poland. Both sides expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation betweenthe U.S. embassy and BBN.
