Secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia visits Poland

On the 28-29 October, Tsagaandari Enkhtuvshin, Secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia, visited Poland at the invitation of the Head of BBN, Minister Stanisław Koziej.

Ministers S. Koziej i T. Enkhtuvshin signed a memorandum of cooperation between the BBN and the Secretariat of the National Security Council of Mongolia. The agreement envisages consultations between the institutions and specifies a range of subjects.

Minister S. Koziej stressed Mongolia's successes in recent years, which were achieved in the difficult strategic environment. By its strategy Mongolia - which borders on Russia and China - tries to develop relations with EU and NATO. In matters of security, Mongolia takes part in UN and NATO stabilization missions. During the meeting, the parties talked about regional security matters – the challenges and risks for Central Asia in the context of the end of the ISAF mission in 2014 and extremist movements in the region.

Ministers spoke also about the strategic planning issues. S. Koziej shared experience of the completed National Security Strategic Review of Poland.
