Advisor to the President of Romania visits the NSB

Thursday, 8 December 2011. Minister Koziej met with Romanian President’s Advisor on the Security Issues, Mr. Iulian Fota. It was part of 2-days visit to Poland completed upon invitation of the Head of the NSB.

During the consultations in the NSB, the parties discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and Euro-Atlantic security. The area of interests included also the coming NATO summit that will be held in Chicago, NATO review of defense and detriment policy, development of Common Security and Defense Policy, building missile defense system and policy of NATO and EU towards Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. The parties also discussed the possible cooperation between Poland and Romania in the defense field.

During the meeting the good condition of Polish-Romanian relations based on the Strategic Partnership signed in Bucharest in 2009 was confirmed and the parties declared their will to continue cooperation in the security field between the National Security Bureau and the National Security Department by the President of Romania.

During his visit, Mr. Fota met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Zbigniew Włosowicz.
