Head of the NSB visits France

Monday, 16 May 2011. Head of the NSB, Minister Stanisław Koziej visited Paris.

Head of the NSB delivered a speech in the Institute of Higher Studies for National Defence (IHEDN) on allied aspects of Polish Security Strategy. It is worth mentioning that IHEDN is French public institution for expertise and consciousness-raising towards defence matters that trains military and civilian public servants in defence matters.

During the visit Minister Koziej met with the Chief of the Military Staff of the President of the Republic, Lieutenant-General Benoît Puga and the Secretary General for Defence and National Security – Francis Delon.

This visit was aimed at initiating cooperation between the National Security Bureau and French counterparts.

Main subjects of discussions – beside the bilateral cooperation – included Polish presidency of the Council of the EU, implementation of provisions of the New Strategic Concept of NATO, National Security Strategic Review, missile defence as well as the Eastern Partnership, operation in Afghanistan and crisis in Libya.
