Ambassador John Herbst visits NSB

On Tuesday 29 June the Deputy Head of the National Security Bureau, Mr. Waszczykowski met with Ambassador John E. Herbst, Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization in the US State Department.

The discussion focused on the activities carried out by the Civilian Response Corps represented and headed by Ambassador John E. Herbst.
 
The role of the Corps established in 2004 is to recruit and prepare specialist in in the field of justice, public order, agriculture, trade, infrastructure and directing them to countries that require support during reconstruction processes during transition from conflict or civil strife. Corp’s specialists are present in Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia and Sudan.
 
Ambassador John Herbst’s task is to prepare for the government of the United States prognosis relating to situation in the explosive parts of the world, particularly the so called fallen states or potentially threaten by deep crisis that could result in collapse of state authority.
